The metal alloy used for this case is a combination of tin and copper (CuSn8), more widely known as bronze. The unique properties of this metal create an oxidisation process, noticeable by the development of a unique patina on case and buckle. This aging process will increase over time (but can also be polished away).
The 39mm case furthermore offers a fully scratch resistant sapphire crystal, screw down crown and solid stainless steel case back to assist water resistance (up to 10 bar of pressure).
The bronze edition of the Hurricane is delivered with a vintage leather strap made in Spain using finest Italian Leather. The ochre coloured contrast stitching not only holds the padding of the strap in place, but also completes the colour of the bronze case.
The leather strap has quick reelase spring bars for an easy exchange and a solid bronze buckle.
